வருகை பதிவு ("the App") is an offline attendance register designed for lecturers and teachers. This policy explains what information the App handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have. The short version: your data stays on your device. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any of your data. We have no servers.

1. Information the App stores

The App stores the following information only on your device, in a private local database that other apps cannot access:

• Class details you enter (class name, incharge name and phone number, periods per day, reminder time, optional Google Sheet link).
• Student details you import or enter (roll number, name, student phone number, parent phone numbers, and any extra columns present in your spreadsheet such as date of birth or ID numbers).
• Attendance records you mark.
• Message templates and a log of messages sent from the App.

None of this information is transmitted to the developer or to any third party by the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all of this data from your device.

2. Information we collect

None. The App contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no user accounts. The developer never sees your students' data or any other information handled by the App.

3. Permissions the App requests and why

• SMS (SEND_SMS) — used only when you press Send, to deliver the absence messages you composed to the parent numbers you selected, through your own SIM. Messages go directly from your phone via your carrier; they never pass through our systems. Standard carrier SMS charges apply. The App never reads your incoming SMS.
• Phone status (READ_PHONE_STATE) — used only to list your SIM cards so you can choose which SIM sends the messages. No identifiers are stored or transmitted.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — used only for the optional attendance reminder you can enable in Settings.
• Alarms & reminders (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) — used only to ring the reminder at the exact time you chose.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — used only to re-arm your reminder after the phone restarts.
• Internet (INTERNET) — used only if you optionally link a Google Sheet and press Refresh, to download that sheet directly from Google. The App makes no other network connections. If you do not use the Google Sheets feature, the App works entirely offline.

4. Third-party services

If you choose to use the optional Google Sheets import, the App downloads the spreadsheet you linked directly from Google's servers. That request is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. If you choose to send a message via WhatsApp, the App opens WhatsApp with your message pre-filled; sending happens inside WhatsApp under WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. The App integrates no other third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that transmit data.

5. Your responsibilities as a user

Teachers and institutions using the App act as the custodians of their students' information. Please ensure you have appropriate consent from your institution and/or parents to store student contact details and to send them attendance messages, in line with your local regulations.

6. Children's privacy

The App is intended for use by teachers and lecturers, not by children. The App itself does not collect any data from anyone, including children. Student records entered by teachers remain solely on the teacher's device.

7. Data security and deletion

All data lives in the App's private storage area, protected by Android's app sandboxing. You can delete individual students, attendance days, templates, or entire classes at any time inside the App. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage from Android Settings, removes all App data permanently. Files you explicitly export or share (reports, sample spreadsheets) leave the App only when you choose to share them, through the app you select.

8. Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect. Material changes will be highlighted in the App's update notes.
